Template documentation[view] [edit] [history] [purge]
This template should always be substituted (i.e., use {{subst:Poem}}). Any accidental transclusions will be automatically substituted by a bot.
For infoboxes in articles about poems, see Template:Infobox poem.

This template invokes the <poem> MediaWiki extension in order to render line breaks properly. See also {{Break lines}} for doing the same without the <poem> MediaWiki extension.

Usage

Adds the <poem> markup to a piece of text.

Markup Renders as
{{Subst:Poem|
In Xanadu did Kubla Khan
  A stately pleasure-dome decree:
Where Alph, the sacred river, ran
  Through caverns measureless to man
Down to a sunless sea.

So twice five miles of fertile ground
  With walls and towers were girdled round:
And there were gardens bright with sinuous rills,
  Where blossomed many an incense-bearing tree;
And here were forests ancient as the hills,
  Enfolding sunny spots of greenery.
